We are all missing each other – chorister to chorister, and as a choir to you our audiences. Whether through the ticketed concert season or through our warm relationship with Seniors Communities , or through our enthusiastic welcome in schools, we love sharing the joy of singing and we value the opportunity to come together.
While MCS Chorus extended intermission from live performances continues, we are presenting ‘Virtual Messages’ throughout the 20/21 season.
The members of MCS Chorus, Mississauga send their very best wishes to Hazel McCallion as she celebrates her 100th birthday.
We thought that Edgar Guest’s poem ‘It Couldn’t be Done’ set to E Daley’s lively music summed up ‘Hurricane Hazel’s spirit, conviction and leadership style. When MCS Chorus performed this at the ‘Salute to Hazel’ celebration in 2014, we changed the text to “She” and “Her” to pay the direct complement which she deserves.
Congratulations to an inspirational lady. Mississauga became a great city under her watch . Happy Birthday Hazel from the MCS Chorus / Mississauga.
We will return with in-person concerts as soon as has been deemed safe to do so, and we look forward to getting together with you and sharing the joy and inspiration of music. Until that time, please stay home and stay safe.
